Non-Restricted

Canadian Non-Restricted Firearm Safety Course

The Canadian Non-Restricted Firearm Safety Course* is an introductory firearm safety course intended for all new firearms users.  The course is designed to provide you with  the knowledge needed to safely handle non-restricted firearms.  During the 8-10 hour course, you will learn how to:  


  • Handle non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Use non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Comply with non-restricted Firearms laws  
  • Store non-restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Display non-restricted firearms safely, and  
  • Transport non-restricted firearms safely  


* Successful completion of this course is a pre-requisite in order to take the Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course 

Restricted

Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety Course

The Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course is also aimed at new firearms users.  This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge needed to safely handle restricted firearms.  During the 4-6 hour course, you will learn to:  


  • Handle restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Use restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Comply with Firearms laws  
  • Store restricted firearms and ammunition safely  
  • Display restricted firearms safely  
  • Transport restricted firearms safel

How to Register:

- Pre-registration is required and pre-payment must be received no later than two weeks prior to the class to ensure your seat.

- Students must provide identification issued by a government agency e.g. drivers licence, and IT MUST BE PHOTO ID.  This will be requested at the beginning of the class.

- NO student is permitted to bring any firearms or ammunition to the classroom.

- All firearms used in the classroom are disabled and all ammunition used is dummy ammunition.  These are provided by the instructor.

- Students must arrive on time and full attendance is required.
